Example Images

Here are some example images from the app using various film profiles to give you an example. Not all film profiles are present here but they can be previewed in the app before loading.

Film Effect Settings

The film effect settings are applied to the loaded film profile allowing you to set them freely during shooting to get your desired look and experiment! When changing the settings a preview screen will display an example of what happens to an image. These settings include Film Grain, Bloom filter, and Halation.

The film grain setting allows the user to add film grain to the developed image. you can change the intensity of the grain where a 10 is the highest intensity and 0 is the lowest. To turn it completely off, disable the film grain.

The bloom filter mimics a diffusion filter that spreads the light from point light sources. the percentage maps to 5% being the lowest intensity and 20% being the highest. The radius then modifies the bloom diffusing it more as the radius increases.

The halation settings allow you to add film halation to your images. Halation is the result of hard lights diffusing off the back of the film and over-exposing the red layer of the film. the threshold gives you the ability to limit the effect to lighting conditions and the diffusion setting is the amount of red halo that bleeds into the image.

A Grayscale reference image is provided in the settings window to help you determine the level of film settings you would like.

Here are all of the combined settings in use. you can use the before and after slider to see how it affects the final image.

Instructions

After installing the app and opening the app select all permissions for photos
