The Wi-Fi Coconut is a device produced by Hak5 with the express purpose of capturing all 14 Wi-Fi channels.

It does this by having a dedicated Wi-Fi chip for each channel ganging all of them up via USB to a host computer. This can take quite a bit of power so there is an extra usb power port if your computer can’t output enough current.

To set up the device you need to install special drivers and management software to control all 14 Wi-Fi chips. You can find the installation drivers on their website.

I had some trouble getting the coconut to work on my Ubuntu VM running on UnRaid, but when I followed the exact instructions on my dedicated Linux laptop it worked perfectly!
Extra Resources
Some good resources I found during my install were Alex Lynd’s setup and recon video for running the coconut with wireshark.
Another good place to find information on the coconut is the Hak5 Forum.
